Chariots4Hope began not as a nonprofit, but as a side ministry born out of obedience. In 2014, Jason and Michelle Hurt opened a Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in Omaha, Nebraska, after Jason left a high-level corporate job at GEICO. They didn’t know a single person in town, but they knew they were called.

As they began serving the community, they kept seeing the same faces—hardworking people, many of them single moms, whose only obstacle was a lack of reliable transportation. What started as quietly repairing cars for those in need soon grew into a calling they couldn’t ignore.

So they left the security of their business behind and launched Chariots4Hope full-time, trusting God with everything—finances, vision, and impact. Today, they’ve awarded over 600 vehicles, served nearly 4,000 individuals, and shared the hope of the Gospel in every encounter.

Every recipient is referred by a trusted nonprofit partner, must be on a verifiable path toward self-sufficiency, and completes training on vehicle ownership and life skills. Many also contribute financially through the “Jump Start” program, creating personal investment in the journey ahead.
